Encourage Mom, others to get that mammogram

Mammograms_350pxWith Mother's Day coming up on Sunday, May 14, what better way to express your love for your mother or any other woman in your life than by encouraging her to get screened for breast cancer?

Sadly, one in eight women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime, and it's the second leading cause of death among women.

But you can do something to help: support Mom's decision to have a mammogram.

Early detection - with a yearly mammogram, annual clinical breast exam and monthly breast self-exam - is her best chance for survival.

The UHS Breast Center brings you the most up-to-date technology and information on breast health, combined with compassionate providers and staff offering the best possible care.

We offer a complete range of screening, diagnostic, treatment and follow-up services, including mammography, ultrasonography, stereotactic biopsy, ultrasound biopsy, cytopathology, lymphedema services and lab services.

Our staff includes on-site radiologists, cytopathologists, nurse practitioners, technologists and other experts in the early detection of breast cancer.
