Planning Your Pregnancy

Now, more than ever, moms-to-be have a whole array of resources available to them.  If you’ve just learned you’re pregnant, now is the time to start looking into where you’ll deliver, choosing a doctor for yourself and your baby and brushing up on how to have a healthy pregnancy and a happy baby.

At Wilson Regional Medical Center we want the very best for your and your newborn, and we offer several resources to help you sort through some of these details.

Birthing Center tours let you explore our maternity unit so you can get to know us before you deliver.  You can also take a virtual tour of our Birthing Center any time of the day or night.  For Birthing Center tours you may call 607.763.6101.

Baby yourself at one of our fun and informational baby showers offered each month.  As our guest of honor you’ll receive gifts and prizes, talk to maternity nurses and other expectant parents, enjoy refreshments and even receive a free chair massage.  For more information call 607.763.5160 or visit our class schedule and search for the keyword "baby showers".

Our NurseDirect physician referral service can help you find an obstetrician, family doctor, pediatrician or infertility specialist who is right for you.  Our registered nurses also provide health and wellness information from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. every day at 607.763.5555.

Genetic counseling is available through the Blood Disorders Center at Wilson Regional Medical Center for couples with a family history of heredity health problems.
