Kidney stones cause severe pain in your abdomen, groin or back.  Some smaller stones may pass without medical intervention.  For larger stones, UHS offers lithotripsy therapy that uses ultrasound and electronic shockwaves to break down stones so they can easily pass through the urinary canal.  For more information about kidney stones, call our office or click here.
