United Medical Associates, P.C. is a Broome County based,
not-for-profit, multi-specialty physician group practice which provides the
highest quality of health care and medical services to all residents of the
Southern Tier and surrounding areas. United Medical Associates uniquely serves
the medical practice needs of the United Health Services Health Care System.United Medical Associates was established in 1991 with 28
physicians, 1 main hub located in Johnson City and 5 satellite offices. The
addition of multiple primary care and specialty care practices have made UMA the
largest multi-specialty group in the area with over 140 physicians and 25
medical and surgical specialties. Our 12 primary care sites, including Family
Practice, Pediatric and Internal Medicine, are located throughout Broome, Tioga
and Chenango Counties with our specialty sites located primarily in Broome
County. UMA’s medical practices are supported by our Ancillary Services which
include a Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, X-Ray, Ultrasound, Mammography, CT
Scanning, Echocardiography, Pulmonary Function Testing, Infusion Therapy and a
Laboratory.

teaching, the requirements necessary for research and medical administration,
