About the Southern Tier Eating Disorder Network

Eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating affect more than five million people in the United States and millions more throughout the world.  Eating disorders are serious psychiatric illnesses that affect men and women, and thousands of those suffering eating disorders will die from the physical problems resulting from these conditions if they are not treated properly.

The Southern Tier Eating Disorders Network can help.
This network, formed by an alliance of United Health Services and the Western New York Comprehensive Care Centers Eating Disorders, provides a wide range of services to address the physical, psychological, and social issues surrounding eating disorders.  The network’s mission is to coordinate and facilitate comprehensive care for patients in our community who suffer from eating disorders.

While each patient’s care is individualized to address his or her specific needs, the Southern Tier Eating Disorders Network provides:

  • Referrals
  • Counseling
  • Nutrition Education
  • Weekly Support Group
  • Case Management
