Speech - Language Pathology
Our Speech-Language Pathologists are certified by the
American Speech-Language Hearing Association and are licensed by the state of
New York. Through referral from a physician, we provide services to individuals
from infancy through geriatrics.
Our department is
also an affiliate of the Binghamton Sertoma Club.
Our comprehensive program consists of individualized
evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of the following:
Pediatric and adult patients with feeding and
swallowing difficulties. Our specialized services include video fluoroscopy
of swallow, flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallow (FEES), pediatric
feeding therapy, neuromuscular electrical stimulation therapy (Vital Stim),
Deep Pharyngeal Neuromuscular Stimulation (DPNS) and EMG biofeedback.
Developmental speech and language problems in
children. We contract with Broome County Health Dept. for core evaluations,
supplemental evaluations and therapy for children in the Early Intervention
Program and Committee on Preschool Special Education program.
Speech and language disorders following a
neurological event such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's
disease, ALS, etc.
Voice disorders due to vocal abuse/misuse or vocal
pathology, i.e. vocal nodules.
Post laryngectomy voice restoration therapy including
esophageal speech training, artificial larynx with electrolarynx training
and tracheoesophageal prosthesis consultation and management.
Fluency disorders/stuttering. For additional

Cognitive disorders such as impaired memory, problem
solving, etc. following a stoke or traumatic brain injury.
Our speech-language pathology services are available at
both Binghamton, New York and Johnson City, New York locations Monday through
Friday 8:00am through 4:30pm.
