Team UHS at Relay for Life
An early-evening storm that swept through the Southern
Tier Friday wasn't strong enough to dampen the spirits of Relay for Life
participants, who headed back to the track as soon as the lightning, thunder and rain subsided.
Led by CEO Matt Salanger and
banner-carriers, a big contingent of Team UHS members began circling the
special track at SUNY Broome shortly after 7:30 p.m.
number of UHS employees and friends participated as walkers in - and
donors to - the event, which benefits the work of the American Cancer
UHS' tent at Relay featured activities for children,
such as face-painting, coloring, safari hats, balloons and a bean-bag
toss, plus lots of healthful, delicious food.
Watch UHS News Online for an update on the number of walkers and the dollar amount raised.
