Dr. Luis Rodriguez, Primary Care Sports Medicine Specialist, joins local UHS practice
UHS Medical Group Orthopedics/Primary Care Sports Medicine announces that Luis A. Rodriguez, MD has joined their medical office. Dr. Rodriguez is a primary care sports medicine doctor, a physician with significant specialized training in both the treatment and prevention of illness and injury. As such, he helps patients maximize function and minimize disability and time away from sports, work or school.
Dr. Rodriguez, who is board certified in Internal Medicine and Primary Care Sports Medicine, received his medical education at Universidad Central de Venezuela, Caracas, Venezuela, with specialty training at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Weston, Florida, and fellowship training in Sports Medicine at UHS, Johnson City, NY. With this training, Dr. Rodriguez is qualified to diagnose and treat many conditions in active individuals, including concussions, cardiovascular problems, nutritional problems and non-surgical musculoskeletal disease and injury. His special interests include sports injuries, concussion and sports cardiology.
He is seeing patients in the UHS Medical Group Orthopedics/Primary Care Sports Medicine office, 33 Mitchell Avenue, G50, Binghamton, where he has joined the practice that includes David Gallagher, MD; Lawrence Wiesner, MD; Jeffrey Avery, PA; Anne Cook, PA; William Jackson, PA; and Ryan Lowrie, PA.
