Wound Care
Wound Care services vary, depending on the type of wound being treated. Your treatment program will be based on your particular needs. It may take more than one visit to develop the program best suited to your needs. Additional visits will allow us to monitor and evaluate your progress.

Our Wound Care Services Include:
Treatment of pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, foot ulcers, and skin ulcers. Your program may include:

Identification of risk factors

Prevention measures

Comprehensive wound management and treatment including physical therapy modalities, as needed

Patient and family education

Treatment of draining wounds and fistulas

Containment of drainage

Prevention of Skin breakdown

Topical therapy-dressing

Ostomy
An Ostomy is a surgical procedure that creates an opening (stoma) on the abdomen. body wastes from the intestinal urinary tract through the stoma.
Whether temporary or permanent, ostomy surgery (e.g. colostomy, ileostomy, or ileal conduit) results in an alteration of body function. Adapting mentally and physically to this type of surgery can be difficult, but our ostomy care services will help guide you through these changes. Our skilled nursing care, empathy, and education program will help you return to a normal lifestyle.

Our Ostomy Care Services Include:
Teaching and counseling, before and after surgery

Stoma site selection

Post-operative skin and stoma assessment and management.

Selection and teaching of appropriate appliance/pouch techniques

Discussion of dietary, sexual and lifestyle changes

Patient and family education

Periodic follow-up for skin and stoma assessment, and  appliance/pouch adjustments

Consultation for individuals with past history of stomas surgery and are in need of an update on equipment and care

Continence Care
Many people have problems containing urine and/or stool, no longer having complete control over their bladder or bowel. This condition is called incontinence.

Our Continence Care Involves:
Recommending appropriate containment devices/garments and skin care

Education and counseling for both patient and family

Referral to appropriate Continence Specialist

Treatment is available for both inpatients and outpatients

Whether you visit our clinic or are seen in the hospital, we will consult with your regular physician to discuss your specific care. It is important that your physician be aware of your special care needs.

It is recommended that you also get prior approval b your physician for an appointment. A prescription stating services requested from your primary care physician is required for your treatment.

If required, wound, ostomy and continence nursing services can be provided while you are in the hospital. Outpatient services will be billed either to your insurance carrier or directly to you, depending on your insurance coverage. Since insurance coverage varies, we advise you to consult your insurance plan for more details. Please bring your insurance cards with you when visiting the clinic.
