Sports Medicine
The Sports Medicine Center is an out-patient therapy clinic
specializing in orthopedic and sports-related injuries. The program employs
two physical therapists and a certified athletic trainer. The trainer treats
patients in the clinic, advises a local high school regarding injury
prevention and provides field evaluations of the athletes.
Clinical services offered include:
preventive sports medicine
comprehensive evaluation and treatment of all physical injuries
rehabilitative techniques focusing on back and neck injuries
posture evaluations
objective strength testing
Types of patients referred to the Sports Medicine Center range from the
weekend athlete to the professional athlete, but also include the non-athlete
with musculoskeletal problems.
