Medically Managed Detox:
Patients who need detoxification are treated in a medically managed level of
care. Detoxification is provided for alcohol, opiates,
prescription drugs, and other substances. Treat modalities include
pharmacology, relaxation techniques, group and individual counseling,
introduction to self help programs, family sessions, and education.
Inpatient Treatment:
The inpatient unit provides acute, highly structured, goal oriented, short
term treatment. Treatment combines a 12 step philosophy with a
variety of other treatment modalities. Length of stay is variable,
based on individual need. Program features include group therapy,
education, discussion, 12 step meetings, relaxation techniques, milieu
therapy, family education and therapy.
Emergency admissions to both inpatient units are available
twenty four hours a day.
Outpatient Services
Intensive Outpatient
Meets up to four times per week for up to four hours per day.
Length of stay is variable depending on individual need. Day and
evening tracks are available for the added convenience of patients as they
add treatment to their existing work or school schedules.
Women's Treatment
A broad spectrum of specialized services, including Intensive
Outpatient and Step Down levels of care, are provided for women.
Senior Recovery
We offer a specialized track of Intensive Outpatient and Continuing Care
exclusively for older adults.
Other Services
We provide intensive relapse prevention, continuing care groups,
individual counseling, consultation, and community education.
Insurance/Payment
New Horizons accepts most insurances and works closely with managed
care companies to provide the most effective treatment to each patient in
the least restrictive environment.
