Our Transitional Year provides exceptional
preparation for physicians who must complete an internship before beginning a
residency in specialties such as radiology, anesthesiology, ophthalmology,
physical medicine and rehabilitation, surgery and others that require this
additional training. The program is also ideal if you haven’t decided on a
specialty, since it gives you exposure to general, critical care, emergency and
pediatric medicine, as well as surgery.
Placement in the Transitional Year Program is
highly competitive, since this program and our Preliminary Medicine Year Program
are considered to be among the best in the country. We deliver superior
clinical experiences and didactic learning opportunities, combined with an
excellent quality of life. Additionally, our flexible curriculum allows
plenty of time for electives, giving you the chance to further explore areas
that interest you.
