One of the great benefits of pursuing a student rotation or residency at Wilson Medical Center is Eckelberger Tower, a Medical Education owned and operated apartment building located directly across the street from the hospital. The building is exclusive to residents and rotating students, offering a spacious, comfortable environment designed with your needs in mind. Major amenities include:
- Full kitchens
- Free parking
- Free in-house laundry facility
- Exercise room
- Community room
- Secured building (ID code required)
- Air conditioner in each apartment
Rents
Eckelberger Tower offers one, two and three bedroom* apartments. All rents include utilities (heat, water and electricity)
One Bedroom: $500/month
Two Bedroom: $625/month
Three Bedroom: $850/month
*Because of space considerations, assignment of two and three bedroom apartments will take into consideration family size and time of application. Apartments are available on a first come, first served basis, though we are usually able to accommodate all residents seeking housing.
Student Housing
Housing is available for students pursuing rotations* at Wilson Medical Center. Rents are pro-rated based on length of stay and number of students in an apartment (because of space, we may occasionally assign two students to a two bedroom apartment or three students to a three bedroom apartment). The apartments are furnished and equipped with the following (in addition to above noted amenities):
- Furnished bedroom, living room and dining room
- Microwave
- Television
- Local phone service
Students are suggested to bring the following:
- Linens
- Pots and pans
- Utensils
- Glassware
A $50 key deposit is required of each student and is returned at the completion of your rotation.
*Because of space limitations, Eckelberger Tower housing is not available to Upstate Medical University Clinical Campus students or Osteopathic students pursuing a full year’s rotations at Wilson. For more information on available housing in the area, click here.
