• No competing residencies give you ample time to learn procedures and gain experience.
• A strong balance between hands-on clinical and academic training, including research opportunities and a regular schedule of conferences and grand rounds.
• Outstanding obstetrics preparation and full exposure to procedures including C-Sections; opportunities also exist to pursue enhanced obstetrics care in a rural environment.
• Gain competency performing colposcopies, minor surgery, cryotherapy, endometrial biopsies, and other procedures.
• Neonatal training includes access to a Level II NICU and full-time neonatologist.
• Pursue sports medicine while working with local athletic teams.
• Geriatrics experience includes exposure to a nursing home environment and visiting patients at home.
• The Johnson City Family Care Center, attached to Wilson, is your single training site, eliminating the need to travel between multiple facilities; this center houses specialty clinics including:
  • Gynecology
  • Dermatology (supervised by board certified dermatologist)
  • Surgical (including skin biopsy and lymphoma removal)
  • Ophthalmology (supervised by board certified ophthalmologist)
