iTurnedPro is an joint initiative between UHS, Lourdes Hospital and Senator Thomas Libous. We're teaming up to encourage men to have a discussion with their primary care doctor about prostate health.
If you're a man over 50 years old, or someone with a history of prostate cancer in your family and over 40, you need to have a conversation with your doctor. Be Proactive. Prostate cancer is curable if it's discovered early. Without regular check-ups, that's difficult because there are really no symptoms of prostate cancer.
Learn about Prostate Cancer
Prostate cancer is very common in men older than 65. In fact, more than half of all American men have some cancer in their prostate gland by the age of 80. Most of these cancers never pose a problem. They may never cause symptoms or become a serious threat to health. Most men with prostate cancer don’t die from the disease. However, treatment for prostate cancer is most effective when the disease is detected in its early stages.
Have you Turned Pro?
