Chest Pain Center
The Chest Pain Center at Wilson Regional Medical Center is designed to minimize the time it takes for a patient experiencing heart attack symptoms to see a physician and receive appropriate therapy. Sophisticated lab testing and nuclear stress tests are performed to uncover any emergency heart conditions. The center also includes a specialized observation setting in which physicians can monitor low-risk patients for unstable angina so they are not inadvertently sent home too soon. The center provides a quieter, more comfortable environment for the patient, while ensuring prompt diagnosis and state-of-the-art treatment.
