UHS operates primary care centers and walk-in clinics and in many locations throughout Broome, Chenango, Delaware and Tioga counties. These physicians are on the front lines of patient care, responding to a broad range of medical problems people encounter throughout their lifespan. Primary care physicians deliver the basic diagnostic, treatment and preventive medical care patients most often need.
Your primary care physician is your partner in helping you stay well, treating you when you're sick and referring you to a specialist when needed. For that reason, we encourage you to choose the
primary care doctor (who may be a family practitioner or internal medicine specialist) who best meets your family’s specific needs and philosophy about health care.
In addition, our
school-based health centers offer primary and preventive care to students in the Binghamton, Norwich, Oxford, Unadilla and Bainbridge-Guilford schools. We are also proud to work closely with an extraordinary team of
independent, private physicians who are a valuable part of our medical staff.
