Delaware Valley Hospital's program has a highly qualified and experienced staff, dedicated to meeting the needs of each patient. Full-time Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselors (CASAC) develop a specifically tailored treatment plan for each individual. Daily lectures, self help, group, and individual therapy ensure prescriptive treatment for each patient. Individual continuing care plans are developed with the patient and referral source/collateral agencies in an effort to provide each patient the best opportunity for continued success after discharge. In fact, patients discharged from Delaware Valley’s unit have achieved a substantially higher level of success in complying with their after-care plans than the national average.

Each person has a complete medical history and physical by the unit Medical Director upon arrival. Registered nurses provide day-to-day medical oversight, counseling and education so each patient receives the necessary information specific to their personal medical condition. Certified dietitians meet with each client to review nutritional needs and also provide sound nutritional advice via regular lectures.

Our unit is certified by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS). Most insurances are accepted and we work closely with managed care companies to provide the most effective treatment to each patient in the least restrictive environment. We also accept Medicaid, Medicare, Family Health Plus and self-pay patients.
