Free musical show to focus on pregnancy and birth

A musical show focusing on true stories of pregnancy, birth and caring for a newborn will be held at the Goodwill Theater, at 48 Willow St. in Johnson City.

"Can You Hear Me Baby?" is an "edu-tainment" program specifically designed for healthcare providers who work with pregnant and parenting families.

Presented by the Mothers & Babies Perinatal Network of South Central New York, it uses musical theater to better inform care and practice, stimulating both introspection and conversation about the choices women are making regarding how and when they give birth.

The play is based on stories gathered from interviews with mothers, fathers, midwives, doctors and others about personal experiences they have had.

Performance dates are:
Thursday, March 23, 12:30 pm
Friday, March 24, at 7:00pm
Saturday, March 25, at 7:00pm.

The event is free, but call now to register with the Mothers & Babies Perinatal Network at 772-0517.
