UHS Foundation establishes Pietriyk Fund

BetsyThe UHS Foundation Board of Trustees has created the Betsy Pietriyk Medical Equipment Fund.

The restricted fund honors Ms. Pietriyk, who has retired from the Foundation after 20 years of service as executive director.

"This fund recognizes Betsy's extraordinary dedication, leadership and success as the Foundation's longest-serving executive director," said Gary VanNostrand, board chair. "It has been seeded with $50,000, and its growth will be promoted by the Foundation."

The fund will be used expressly to support medical equipment needs at UHS Hospitals, with an annual disbursement of $2,500, or 5 percent, whichever is greater.

Ms. Pietriyk joined UHS in 1990, serving for five years in human resources at UHS Senior Living at Ideal before being named to the Foundation post.

The UHS Foundation supports innovation, service and quality at UHS by educating the community, attracting donors and managing gifts wisely.
