Wednesday May 13, 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.- Daily Exercise Doesn't Have to Sound So Scary. Guest speaker will be a UHS employee and personal trainer, Jessica Mead. Discussion will include incorporating exercise into your daily life and reviewing guidelines. There will be an optional group discussion from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Thursday May 21, 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.- Join Megan Farmer RN, BSN, the facilitator for the UHS Stay Healthy Kids Wellness Programs for family wellness, the summer wellness, the summer edition. She will discuss family wellness including nutrition and physical activity tips. Megan will also provide great ideas and advice to help the whole family stay healthy throughout the summer months. There will be an optional group discussion from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday June 10, 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.-Topic for this month is Beware of Sabotage. Discussion will incorporate discussion on hidden sugars, dangers of soda, water consumption, and ideas for snacking. There will be an optional group discussion from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday June 17, 6 p.m - 7 p.m.- UHS Stay Healthy will present a special discussion on basic stress management and how that relates to health and wellness. Learn about stress and the effects it has on the body as well as tips and tools for managing stress and increase relaxation.
UHS employee and Usui and Karuna Reiki Master/Teacher and Certified Reflexologist Barbara Dougherty will speak on Reiki, Reflexology and stress reduction. The talk will include an information session on Reiki and Reflexology followed by stress reduction techniques and a short meditation. There will be an optional group discussion from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday July 8, 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.- Topic for this month is Getting Started, Taking your First Step. Our guest speaker Erica Papaleo will share her success story. You will receive tips for lasting lifestyle changes. We will discuss motivation and goal setting. There will be an optional group discussion from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday July 15, 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. - UHS Stay Healthy will discuss ways to start a home exercise program. We will also discuss tips to help you maintain your exercise program and stay active. BC Walks will also supply some tips and advice for walking programs. There will be an optional group discussion from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
