Last chance to register for this week's Adult Wellness Seminar on 1/13

Seating is limited so don't forget to register! UHS Hospitals is offering free monthly seminars on healthy eating, active living and wellness Programs are free and offered the second Wednesday of the month. Each month a different health and wellness topic will be presented by health care professionals. Focus of the seminars will be on common goals for health, well-being and weight management. Healthy living advice and tips will be offered to participants. Program will take place at the UHS Stay Healthy Center located in the Oakdale Mall. Seating is limited. Registration is required.

Two part Topic for this month is Getting Started: Goal Setting and Motivation presented from 6-6:30 p.m. by Stay Healthy Center Staff. Learn how to set obtainable and realistic health, weight loss and weight management goals. How can you step appropriate goals that will lead to lasting change? Tips to help you stay motivated through your journey will be presented.

Part II is Psychological Effects of Obesity presented by UHS Bariatric Coordinator. Discussion will be on the psychological and behavioral effects of obesity. Discussion about trends of obesity in the adult population. How to face the addiction to food and explore the lifestyly changes necessary to maintain healthy living
