Family Health History Awareness and Diabetes Health Fair

UHS Stay Healthy, UHS Diabetes Center, the Ferre Institute for Genetic Counseling together with many additional community representatives will be at the Oakdale Mall, Center Court on Saturday, November 7 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Thanksgiving Day is National Family Health History Day

Learn why your family health history is so important to your health and why it should be discussed with your primary care provider. Materials to help you begin collecting your family health history will be available. Representatives from community organizations will be present to distribute information on health insurance eligibility, listings of primary care provider locations, prenatal /perinatal services, health screening guidelines and resources and information on exposures that can affect your baby before birth and while breastfeeding.

November is Diabetes Month. Eat Well America!

UHS Diabetes Center and Southern Tier Dietitian Association and additional representatives will be available with information and tools to help you manage your diabetes. Learn how eating well can be easy, affordable and delicious.
