Employees honored for long-term service

UHS honors retirees and long-time employees at annual dinner Friday, November 15, UHS honored new retirees and employees at its thirty-second annual employees’ service awards dinner.  The dinner at the Double Tree hotel in Binghamton celebrated retirees as well as employees with 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years of continuous service.  

This year there were 67 retirees, fifty of whom had worked at UHS for twenty years or more.  In addition, four current employees were honored for 45 years of service; 29 were honored for 40 years of service; 32 were honored for 35 years of service; 27 were honored for 30 years of service; 62 were honored for 25 years of service; and 44 were honored for 20 years of service.

Michael McNally, UHS Vice President Human Resources, welcomed everyone to the celebration, and Father Corey VanKuren, UHS Chaplain, gave the invocation.  Matthew J. Salanger, UHS President and CEO, delivered a congratulatory message which emphasized the importance of employees to the UHS system. UHS administrators distributed pins and awards to the individuals who were honored at the dinner.  There were almost 400 people in attendance.
