Grand opening set for UHS Orthopedic Center

News Media Advisory

UHS will hold a public grand opening of the new UHS Orthopedic Center, from 5 to 8 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 11, at 4433 Vestal Parkway East.

Media coverage is invited.

A brief program will be held at 6 p.m.

Attendees will be able to meet the providers and staff, take self-guided tours of the new building and learn about the services offered.

The event is timed to coincide in the evening with the opening of the Binghamton University basketball season (men vs. Cornell, women vs. Bucknell), of which UHS is a sponsor (at the grand opening, a limited quantity of free tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis).

The new, $30 million UHS center features top-of-the-line services.

The facility revolutionizes the idea of orthopedic care in the Southern Tier region, creating a modern environment for patients dealing with either chronic or acute conditions of the bones, joints and muscles.

Covering 68,000 square feet on two levels, it features doctors' offices and treatment areas for orthopedics, sports medicine, rheumatology, chiropractic, podiatry, physical therapy and concussion care, as well as a sports performance gym.
