Expert on ‘Change’ to speak at UHS oncology teaching day

Noted inspirational speaker Ruth Bachman will be the keynote presenter at the 24th annual Oncology Teaching Day, to be held Thursday, March 17, at the Owego Treadway Inn & Conference Center in Owego.

Ms. Bachman's presentation will be "Change Is Inevitable, Transformation Is Intentional." The theme of the conference for health care professionals will be "Interpreting Clinical Findings: Decisions That Define Care."

Ms. Bachman is a cancer survivor, mountain climber, author, inspiring presenter and woman of faith. She contributes her time, resources and talents on behalf of cancer research, education and advocacy. Her book, "Growing Through the Narrow Spots," is a road map for looking patiently at life's challenges and discovering both internal and external resources that will help a person navigate the passages.
