30 new doctors graduate from UHS Residency Program

Thirty doctors have graduated from the UHS Medical Residency Program, with some remaining in the region to begin their medical practices and others joining healthcare organizations elsewhere around the country.

The House Staff Graduation for the Class of 2016 was held at the Binghamton Country Club in Endwell on June 3.

Graduating residents in the Family Medicine Residency are:

Naeem Ahmed, DO; Shivani Naemi Chopra, MD; Ishtiaq Hossain, MD; Saqib Iqbal, DO; Alexandra M. Karnow, DO; Alexia E. Strzalka, MD; Maryam Syed, DO. Dr. Karnow will begin her practice in the Ithaca area, Dr. Hossain will be joining UHS as a hospitalist, and Dr. Syed will join UHS Primary Care in Endicott.

Graduates in Internal Medicine are:

Jafer Abidi, MD; Noor Ali Al-Asady, DO; Pouyan Nick Changizzadeh, MD; Prabhas Gupta, MD; Nazia Mashriqi, MD; Lakshmi Sanivarapu, MD; Sunil Singh, DO; Eva Vaishnav, DO; and Rizwana Zaidi, MD. Dr. Sanivarapu will be joining UHS Primary Care in Binghamton.

Transitional Year graduates are:

Sanjay Jonathan Digamber, MD; Daniel J. Falk, MD; Shane T. Keogh, MD; Arkadiy Kheyfits, DO; Michelle Masnovi, MD; Ian Wright Sullivan, DO; and James Hsiang Wang, MD.

Graduates in the Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency, with added credential in RRA surgery, are:

Angela Freeman, DPM; Dallin Scott Greene, DPM; and Nathan Lawrence Judd, DPM. Dr. Freeman will join UHS Podiatry Chenango Bridge.

Preliminary Medicine Year graduate is: Ahmed Rizvi, MD.

David Zhi Hao Li, DO, graduated from the Sports Medicine Fellowship, and Kunal Kumar, MD, and Tzvika Sacagiu, MD, from the Neuro Critical Care Fellowship.
