"Fiesta" is the theme of Nursing Home Week

A Cinco de Mayo theme, "Bring on the Fiesta," will be featured at this year's Nursing Home Week observance at UHS Senior Living at Ideal and UHS Senior Living at Chenango Memorial. The lineup of activities includes:

UHS Senior Living at Ideal - Nursing Home Week begins on May 10 with a worship service, followed by a coffee social, starting at 2:30 p.m; on May 11, Mexican cookie trays on all courts; on May 12, birthday cupcakes to be distributed on all courts; on May 13, staff appreciation luncheon, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring Lupo's spiedies, then a pinata pull on all courts at 4 p.m.; on May 14, an ice cream truck will visit all courts starting at 2 p.m., and a balloon launch will be held in the Courtyard at 4 p.m.; on May 15, there will be candy dishes on all courts, then a Fiesta Friday cocktail social on all courts at 2:30 p.m.; the Fiesta Finale will happen on May 16, featuring Wayne Beddoe in concert in the Community Room at 2:30.

UHS Senior Living at Chenango Memorial - On May 10, there will be a Mother's Day tea at 10 a.m., featuring fine china and flowers donated by the Auxiliary; May 11, ice cream social outside at 2 p.m.; May 12, "Thanks for the Memories" with Joe Trionfero at 10 a.m., and a casino night at 6:30 p.m.; May 13, a Mexican meal will be served at noon, followed by a pinata game at 2 p.m. and the Norwich Jazz Band at 3:30 p.m.; May 14, "In Honor of You, Our Residents," a dedication social, will be held at 2 p.m.; May 15, At 10 a.m., there will be readings from "Food from the Heart; Patchwork of Memories," a cookbook produced by Senior Living residents; May 16, "Manna Mug-a-Muffin with Maxine," an interactive program, will begin at 10 a.m.
