'Empty Bowls' proceeds to benefit the hungry

The 11th annual "Empty Bowls" will be held at UHS Hospitals on two days, with proceeds benefiting the Food Bank of the Southern Tier and the UHS Foundation's Stop Hunger Fund. For a donation of $25, you can enjoy a sumptuous lunch of soup, salad, pasta, bread, dessert and beverage, and leave with a handmade pottery bowl.

Empty Bowls will be held on Wednesday, April 1, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Room 5ABC, Picciano 4, UHS Wilson Medical Center; and on Thursday, April 2, from 11:30 to 1:30, Russell Room, UHS Binghamton General Hospital.

By showing your support for hunger relief through your $25 donation, you can:
• Select a beautiful handcrafted bowl to keep as an artistic reminder of your role in
helping those in need.
• Enjoy a delicious buffet luncheon, featuring savory soups, salad, bread and —
new this year — penne pasta with sauce and sauteed chicken.
• Top off your meal with a tasty dessert.

The event is presented by the UHS Foundation and the Compass Group.
