UHS Chenango Memorial staff providing hygiene kits to hurricane victims
Employees of UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital have learned that hygiene kits are needed by victims of Hurricane Sandy. They have made plans to deliver these kits to Park Central Presbyterian Church in Syracuse, which is acting as a collection point to ensure delivery to those in need. This is part of an initiative of Church World Services, which already has transported many of these kits to victims in New York, New Jersey and Cuba. This initiative at the hospital has a short turnaround, since the need is immediate.
The staff are collecting hygiene kit items and monetary donations to purchase these items. They also are having a fundraising bake sale on Wednesday, November 7. For more information, contact UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital's Central Registration Department at 337-4045.
