Pediatrician joins UHS Primary Care Sidney
Dr. Rohan Jayasena will begin practice at UHS Primary
Care in Sidney the first week in October. Dr. Jayasena has lived in
Sidney and practiced pediatrics in the Sidney and Oneonta area for the
past 10 years. He graduated from North Colombo Medical College, Ragama,
Sri Lanka, followed by internship at General Hospital, Badulla, Sri
Lanka and pediatric residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health
Center, Bronx, NY. After his residency, he moved to Sidney and began
his pediatrics practice.
Dr. Jayasena is certified by the
American Board of Pediatrics. He said he and his family enjoy being
part of the Sidney community, where he has lived for the past ten
years. He is looking forward to working with the UHS Primary Care staff
and continuing to serve the children of the TriTown area. Dr.
Jayasena’s practice includes newborns through college age individuals.
Dr. Michael Trevisani, Vice President Medical Affairs/Chief Medical
Officer at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital, welcomed Dr. Jayasena and
stated, “Dr. Jayasena is a great addition to our existing staff at UHS
Primary Care Sidney. His pediatrics expertise adds to the comprehensive
family practice, women’s health and diagnostic imaging services
available to the local community at that office.”
