UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital receives donation of new hoyer lift
Norwich Rehabilitation and Nursing Center recently donated a hoyer lift to UHS
Chenango Memorial Hospital to use at UHS Imaging, Norwich. The lift is used to
help lift and position patients onto diagnostic imaging equipment when needed.
Norwich Rehabilitation and Nursing Center administrator Kate Conant
stated, “We are happy to provide this equipment as a local healthcare partner.
Collaborating with UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital strengthens the care
opportunities available not only to our residents, but to the community as a
whole.”
Dr. Michael Trevisani, Vice President Medical Affairs/Chief
Medical Officer at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital, thanked Ms. Conant and the
rehabilitation and nursing center for their donation. Before this donation, the
imaging center had been sharing a hoyer lift with other departments in the
hospital. “Having this hoyer lift right on-site all the time is a lot more
convenient for both patients and staff. The lift ensures a more comfortable,
safe patient experience for patients from Norwich Rehabilitation and Nursing
Center and all members of the community who require it. We are very grateful
for this donation.”
