Free balance training can help seniors avoid falls
A free seminar designed to help older individuals maintain healthy balance as they age will be offered on Thursday, Nov. 8 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at UHS Home Care, 4401 Vestal Parkway East. Parking is available at the building entrance facing Old Vestal Road.
"Living Your Life In Balance" will feature: a Tai Chi demonstration — Learn how this ancient Chinese exercise can improve balance; Exercise techniques — Learn movements that can be done from a seated position; Medication and balance — Find out how prescription drugs may be affecting your balance and what you can do about it.
