UHS offers the Care-A-Van, a free shuttle service from Stay Healthy at the mall to UHS hospitals, clinics and doctor’s offices in Broome County. The Care-A-Van operates Monday through Friday, from 8am to 3:30pm, on an as-needed basis. To use the shuttle, drive to the Oakdale Mall, park your car and go to Stay Healthy (inside the mall near the Sears entrance) prior to your medical appointment. Check in at the reception desk and then enjoy some coffee while you wait. We’ll direct you to the shuttle, which will pick you up outside Stay Healthy at the entrance to Parking Lot 5. After your medical appointment, just call 201.8187 to make arrangements for your return to Stay Healthy.

Convenient option

At UHS, we know getting to your doctor’s office or to a hospital can be a complicated, stressful experience, especially if you live out of town and aren’t familiar with the Broome County area. With the Care-A-Van you don’t have to worry! We’ll get you from Stay Healthy at the Oakdale Mall to your medical appointment. Just remember that the Care-A-Van doesn’t operate on Saturday, Sunday or holidays.

Central location

The Oakdale Mall in Johnson City is centrally located to the whole Southern Tier. It’s easy to find, with a highly visible location just off Exit 70 of the Southern Tier Expressway, Route 17/I-86. Stay Healthy is inside the mall, near the Sears entrance. Ample parking is available, and cars can even be left overnight for people staying in town for more than a day. The Oakdale Mall is a popular stop for many shuttle buses around Greater Binghamton.

Lots to do

For your shopping and mall-walking convenience, the mall is open Monday through Saturday, from 10am to 9pm, and Sunday, from 11am to 7pm. With more than 80 shops and eateries, you have your choice of either a quick trip for your shuttle ride or a day of relaxed shopping before or after your visit. Stay Healthy is UHS’s resource at the mall to help you maintain a long, healthy, active life.
