The Sports Medicine Center is an out-patient therapy clinic specializing in orthopedic and sports-related injuries. The program employs two physical therapists and a certified athletic trainer. The trainer treats patients in the clinic, advises a local high school regarding injury prevention and provides field evaluations of the athletes.
Clinical services offered include:
- preventive sports medicine
- comprehensive evaluation and treatment of all physical injuries
- rehabilitative techniques focusing on back and neck injuries
- posture evaluations
- objective strength testing
Types of patients referred to the Sports Medicine Center range from the weekend athlete to the professional athlete, but also include the non-athlete with musculoskeletal problems.
