And this important care is delivered in a sensitive environment dedicated to the developmental needs of the babies. Obstetricians and parents have such confidence in the unit that most of the region's uncomplicated and complicated births occur at Wilson Medical Center. The New York State Department of Health has designated the unit as the area’s only Level 3 nursery for caring for both babies and their mothers.

Our staff of obstetricians, certified nurse midwives and nurse practitioners includes the area’s only perinatologist and neonatologist to care for high risk pregnancies and newborns.
